Inspection

Above all else Precision

Since quality and precision are so vital in component manufacture, considerable time and resources are spent on checking procedures which ensure quality control.

In fact the company reputation has been built on it, enabling the use of the coveted BSI certification. This is currently to ISO 9001 Quality Management certified by BSI under certificate number FM 02242.

How it works

The Quality Control Department has equipment ranging from the Computerised Co-ordinate Measuring Machine (CMM) to surface measurement, profile and surface magnification, air gauging for specialised bores etc, digimatic micrometers and verniers, all calibrated to national standards.

Constant Quality Control

All batches are subjected to a first off inspection. With Constant Quality Control throughout production, the results are logged and analysed. Final inspection procedure is to BS 6001. The components are then passed to Despatch for final cleaning/packaging to ensure protection during transit. Certificates of conformity are issued if required.

Material Storage

A further indication of the concern for quality is the presence of a bonded store within the material storage area, qualified to QAS  3289/17 for material lot traceability and for Prime Contractor materials. Here important materials of a specific or special type can be kept in total security. Residual samples will always be kept for subsequent testing.
